I have learned there are more tools for curating information that I ever thought!
One of the highlights this week was applying information I learned to communities I have been active in for years. Previously I had never view Reddit as a curation tool, but I now do. Previously I had always viewed it as a discussion board (and it can/is used this way!), but so many of the sub-reddits are there as a means to share knowledge. Furthermore, that knowledge is up or down voted based upon the quality of the content, and content which is the highest rated has a higher chance of being seen. This system also connects to individual uses by influence called karma which can be used as a method of curating the trustworthiness of a member’s ability to create quality content (fyi scary!).
